Terrific Conference in Cleveland- Meeting Readers

I had a terrific learning experience again this year at AAACE and CPAE in Cleveland OH. At this point, I am sitting in the airport awaiting my flight home to NYC.

It is immensely humbling and rewarding to meet so many colleagues, students and practitioners/teachers who are using our books for study and practice.

Highlights included the exciting embrace of my newest book: Handbook of Evolving Research in Transformative Learning
and the conference wide discussion of our 2nd edition of Podcasting for Teachers- sessions were being held by other profs about the book and I was not even there!

It is rewarding to see that print media can merge with new media and still bring innovation and new knowledge to our academic fields.

Thank you to all our readers who make us a success.
Please let your authors know how much their books mean to them.
We never know without you.

Other events at the conference included

  • presenting a session on Coaching (with Shemeka Peters)
  • presenting a session on Empowering Women (with Miller & Stroschen)
  • presenting a session on Collective Research Model for CPAE (with Stroschen)
  • tour of Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame! (with Boden, Cox and 100  other colleagues!)

Great news — visit with me during my last fall 2009 conference event is weekend of 11/15/09.  I will be headed to Austin NACOL and Virtual School Symposium 11/15/09 Virtually yours,

Dr. Kathy King
