Book Proposals
Invitation to Submit Book Proposals and Topics
Guidelines for Submission
Dear Colleagues,
Transformation Education also provides opportunities for academics and exceptional graduate or doctoral students or educational practitioners to submit book proposals for consideration for publication. Dr. Kathleen P. King, our CEO, is also professor of education at the University of South Florida, and series editor for several series at Information Age Publishing (IAP) including
- Adult Education Special Topics: Theory, Research and Practice in Life Long Learning
- Key Issues in Higher Education: Challenges, Perspectives, and Promise
- Emerging Technologies for Evolving Learners
- Instructional Innovations in Teaching and Learning
If you have an idea for a book, which you have been considering this may be an opportunity to further develop it and see it to completion. I would be pleased to review selected book inquiries and proposals for the series per the procedure described below.
I have found Information Age Publishing (IAP) to be a powerful opportunity to cultivate new voices in the literature, as well as effectively market and distribute my publications in recent years. For these reasons, I have become a series editor, in order to identify new and experienced authors looking for publishing venues, and to guide other academics through this unnecessarily complicated and protected process.![]()
Information Age Publishing has a long history in academic publishing. It is part of the group, which includes Greenwood Publishing, Academic Press, and JAI Press among many others. Information Age Publishing is one of their more innovative initiatives to enable academics, researchers and educators to develop works and have them published with the full advantage of today’s technology marketing and production capabilities.
Most importantly, authors can focus on content, rather than production.
IAP makes production convenient for our authors, and only the authors and their editors address content issues.
This is a traditional, high caliber academic publisher. Of course, you pay no fees for this publication; it is not self-publishing, and it is not a vanity press. What is unique about IAP is that you work will be included in Google books, IAPS’ proprietary reader capability, and they use a green production process, a completely electronic development, editing and proofing process, plus print on demand technology. For instance, rather than producing thousands of copies of books, which occupy warehouses across the globe, and may never be purchased, only those books ordered are printed. The turn around time for production of completed books, is equivalent to usual shipping times.
Other benefits for IAP authors include
- Each book has its own web page, which many authors print off and use as a flier/handout;
- IAP always produces both hard copy and paperback versions of each title in order to increase purchasing choices for your readers; and
- All submissions and edits are done electronically to expedite the process and again, be globally responsible.
I look forward to hearing from you. Please feel free to contact me to discuss the need for a new book, which you see across the educational landscape and how your expertise addresses it. Perhaps together we may be able to begin a proposal idea for you.
Sincerely yours,
Dr. Kathleen P. King
