Mary has been writing since her first publication in Red Book Magazine in 1978. She has independently published two memoirs, The Bumpy Road to Assisted Living, a Daughter’s Memoir, and Insight Out, One Blind Woman’s View of her Life. Both are available at Amazon, both in paperback and on Kindle. Mary writes for her blog, “Seeing It My Way.”

Mary lives in Columbus, Ohio, with her guide dog, Dora. She is the retired executive director of ACB-Ohio. When she is not writing, she is corresponding with friends, cycling, swimming, or taking a walk.

DeAnna Quietwater Noriega is half Apache, and a quarter Chippewa. She is the mother of three. As a result of congenital glaucoma, she became totally blind at the age of eight. DeAnna and her husband met while attending college and he joined her in the Peace Corps. They worked together to establish a school for blind children in Western Samoa. She has been a poet/writer since childhood. Her most recent publication is a book titled Fifty Years of Walking with Friends. The book chronicles in poetry and prose the story of her life with nine guide dogs.
