Brief Bio- Dr King

Dr. Kathleen P. King is an award winning author who has published over 30 books and 200+ articles/papers. “Kathy” is a popular keynote and conference speaker, mentor, and writing consultant. Asa professor for 30 years, she worked in academia as a researcher, administrator, and educator. Her major areas of research include diversity, research, technology innovations, college teaching, transformative learning, leadership, and faculty development. Her 2018 book, Technology and Innovation in Adult Learning, garnered the Textbook Excellence award from Textbook and Academic Authors. In 2017, Dr. King was awarded membership in the  prestigious TAA’s Council of Fellows because of her achievement in academic publishing and service to the association. She was inducted into The International Continuing and Adult Education Hall of Fame in 2011 in recognition of her outstanding contributions to adult and higher education. Since 2021, Dr. King lives in Knoxville, TN actively coaching, podcasting, public speaking,  and writing.
