This award is in recognition of Dr. King’s vast achievements in adult and higher education, faculty development, adult learning and instructional technology research and publication. As of 2017, she has authored, co-authored and edited 32 academic books across these fields and more. Her publishers include Jossey-Bass, Information Age Publishing, Krieger Publishing, Atwood Press, Hampton Press, and others.

The award also represents her involvement in mentoring faculty and doctoral students through association and beyond. Dr. King is a TAA workshop speaker, representing the association by providing writing and publication sessions for faculty across the nation.
